Anyway, this is all that is to my knowledge, maybe there if something else you can do (as I said, I don't know Chrome OS very well, since I don't have a Chromebook). There is a bookmarklet you can add that will change any Scratch 2.0 project page's Flash player to sb2.js. It has some limitations, but has more functionality than the official Scratch HTML5 Player (as of writing). sb2.js is an unofficial HTML5 version of the Scratch player. For just viewing Scratch 2.0 projects on Chrome (no editing), look up sb2.js. As of writing this, GE can only edit scripts in a project, however we are planning on adding more features that you can use. Another thing, if you can wait a while, is Go Everywhere. You won't be able to upload your projects to Scratch, but hey! It's close, if you just want to code. A fix You can use Snap! instead of Scratch.
Because the computer specs SHOULD be able to handle it, if it had a more standard OS. Being that Google's Flash interpreter isn't the same as Adobe Flash, it is acceptable that Scratch 2.0 won't run correctly under non-Adobe Flash Players. Now, I don't know THAT much about Chrome OS, however I believe that Google made their own version of Flash Player, so that Chrome OS could run Flash projects. This means that there is no downloads everything is done through the internet (Google services, like Drive) and Chrome (with Web Apps, which mimic native desktop programs, but still run inside Chrome). Chrome OS, if you didn't know, is built around Google Chromium (Open-source version of Google Chrome).
